Aurora Sleepover: Overnight Northern Lights tour in a private mountain hut

This tour is truly one-of-a-kind and not offered by any other operators. It's a private escape to a secluded mountain hut just outside Reykjavik, where you'll spend the night with hopes of seeing the magical Northern Lights. Far from any city lights, in an area known for its Northern Lights visibility, the hut offers an unbeatable opportunity for stargazing.

Staying in a mountain cabin is a great way to get away from it all and enjoy Iceland's amazing views. The cabins are simple and cozy, with just what you need to rest well. Once we arrive you will enjoy a tasty meal as we fire up the BBQ.  When evening comes, the cabin becomes a front-row seat to nature's most stunning displays — from the endless daylight and the midnight sun of summer to the possibility of witnessing the ethereal Northern Lights weaving through the winter sky.  

The experience of sleeping in an Icelandic cabin is unique, drawing you into nature and away from the fast pace of life. This brief getaway begins with a pickup between 5 and 6 pm, and by 7 pm, you'll be settling into the cabin. Enjoy the evening as you please; whether that's chatting, playing cards, or waiting for the Northern Lights. The next morning offers a simple breakfast before you return to the capital, which is less than an hour's drive away. You'll be back by 11 am.

Although this tour is available during the summer, one can not expect to see the northern lights until late August early September.   It is still a great tour to escape the city life and witness (hopefully) the midnight sun during the peak summer time.
